Heterogeneous
This type of flooring is made of a number of layers. This multiple-layer construction creates design prints with a variety of effects: an extensive selection of attractive and highly realistic wood-effect designs, stone surface effects, as well as brushed and metallic effects.
Heterogeneous floor covering provides very good resistance against stains of all kinds.
It is acknowledged as being a perfectly safe material, without health hazards or pollutant emissions of any kind.
The base is usually a type of foam. The surface has a wear layer, usually between 0.010mm to 0.5mm thick.
Between these layers is the design, usually 1mm to 2mm thick.
There are several designs produced by several Manufacturers, ranging from light domestic to heavy contract wear.
